Concordia, Duncraig Ladies’ Fellowship

As 2020 draws to a close, there is little to be said about the effects of the COVID-19 virus that hasn’t already been said. Annelies Allen with her homemade jam The Concordia Ladies’ Fellowship had their program thrown into disarray. In spite of that, we managed some enjoyable social distancing activities. A lunch of winter warming soup and rolls was enjoyed at Dot’s place and a spring walk was followed by lunch at Kings Park in Perth. Another informal lunch meeting was held in Kristine’s home. Fund raising was difficult …

Advent luncheon at Katanning

Twelve ladies from Katanning and Narrogin joined together at Dome Café in Katanning on 10 December 2020 for their annual advent lunch get together. It was a beautiful day and the lunch was very tasty. This was complemented by our favourite drink of choice. The best part was getting together, and we didn’t need to wash up! We were each presented with four Ferrero Rocher chocolates and a handmade tile coaster by Sigrid with “Jesus is the Reason for the Season” stencilled on the top. Jan made a small Christmas …

St Paul’s Ladies Fellowship, Albany

Something new took us all by surprise this year: we were unable to meet due to the COVID-19 Pandemic! Wow! Who would have thought how much we take for granted! It was with great joy that restrictions eased, and our Fellowship was able to once again meet together; just in time to celebrate Judith Pech’s 80th birthday, on the 14th of June. We met on the 18th at the chosen venue “The Store”, this being an old favourite. Ownership had changed, menu hiccups and the ordered flowers didn’t arrive (until the …

LWWA President’s Report

Greetings from the Ladies of Western Australia. A wonderful 50th Anniversary of the LWWA was held in May 2019 at Bethlehem Church Morley. It was a great joy to be able to welcome ladies (and several husbands) from other states. Several past presidents of LWWA were present and assembled to cut a beautifully decorated cake. Our dear President, Roslyn Zadow, was permitted to leave her hospital bed to join in for a part of the day. Roslyn put so much of herself into this day. Fellowship day at St Luke’s …

Operation Christmas Shoebox

The Bible Study ladies, from Hickory Road Quinn’s Rocks, hosted an inspiring afternoon of fellowship on 5 October 2019. Thirty men and women and seven children attended. The children were delighted to contribute and bring their shoeboxes that they had helped to pack for the children overseas. Rosemary Davidson welcomed all present and introduced Janet Lester who is the Good Samaritan Shoebox Co-ordinator from St John’s Lutheran Church, Perth. She was there to receive the 30 boxes that the gathering had made with love, to be sent to children in …

LWWA Fellowship Day held at St Luke’s, Parkwood

Date: 23 August 2019 Theme: 50th Jubilee celebration text Leviticus 25. Approximately 50 ladies joined together with our Bishop Mike Fulwood and spiritual advisor Pastor Glenn Crouch. Greeted by the lovely committee, we were each warmed by the sumptuous spread of morning tea. Adam Snell, one of the talented musicians, was asked to write some music to go with the poem that Angela Ziersch wrote for the 50th Jubilee convention earlier this year, which was truly amazing and touched everyone in a special way. Ronda Hahn, our LWWA president opened …
