Hamilton Women’s Guild – 80th anniversary celebrations

On 13 July 2021 the Hamilton Ladies Guild celebrated their 80th Anniversary. A total of 44 ladies including those from neighbouring Guilds/Fellowships, that were able to come, enjoyed a lovely afternoon. We began with a devotion and then sang: What a friend we have in Jesus. Pastor Dave led us in a very interesting Bible study called “Who are YOU?” Do other people define who you are or does God make you who you are? You …

Ballarat

Our pastor, Adrian Kramer, has accepted a call to serve in Canada. The Ballarat congregation gave him and his family a farewell barbecue on Sunday 27 February. They have been with us for seven years and Pastor Adrian has been LWV Spiritual Advisor for that time. We thank him for his work with our congregation and wish him and the family many blessings as they begin their new life in Canada. The photo shows Pastor …

Trinity Women’s Guild, Warrnambool

Trinity Women’s Guild, Warrnambool, was blessed to reach its 75th Anniversary on the 29 July 2020. Unfortunately, the group was unable to celebrate in the time-honoured way of fellowship with friends, good food, anniversary cake and a cuppa. Ten ladies attended the first meeting in 1945. This was before the congregation had its own church. The membership fee was set at one shilling and sixpence. It was at one of these early meetings that a …

Lorna is an active member of our Guild, lives in a nice unit and loves caring for her garden. She plays cards on Monday, goes to Planned Activities Group at the hospital three …

Ballarat Ladies Fellowship

Ballarat Ladies Fellowship got off to a flying start for 2020 with a large group meeting at our President, Doreen Huebner’s, lovely property at Smythesdale. There was much chatter and sharing after the Christmas break and, of course, ladies enjoyed strolling around the gorgeous garden. It was good to start, again, the Bible Studies from Lutheran Women with Pastor Adrian. We have decided to have most of our meetings this year in ladies’ homes (cool in summer and …

Wimmera Mallee Zone Rally, Horsham

We were welcomed to Horsham for the 53rd Zone Rally on a pleasant Thursday morning by the Horsham afternoon ladies guild president, Marie Bergen, who introduced the Mayor of the Horsham Rural City Council, Cr Mark Radford who extended a warm welcome to visitors to Horsham. He spoke about some of the highlights that he had researched about the history of Lutherans in the Horsham area. He recalled a recent visit he had to the …

End of Year Breakup Fun with Warrnambool Ladies Guild

With a room full of laughter and happy faces, the Guild ladies and the Men’s fellowship of Trinity Lutheran Church, Warrnambool, held a combined annual breakup function on December 7th – a dinner and Dutch Auction. Pre-dinner drinks and nibbles preceded barbecued sausages and hamburgers with yummy salads. Dessert was the ever-popular fruit salad and ice cream.
