Hamilton Women’s Guild – 80th anniversary celebrations

Past presidents of Hamilton Women’s Guild from L to R:

On 13 July 2021 the Hamilton Ladies Guild celebrated their 80th Anniversary. A total of 44 ladies including those from neighbouring Guilds/Fellowships, that were able to come, enjoyed a lovely afternoon.

We began with a devotion and then sang: What a friend we have in Jesus.

Pastor Dave led us in a very interesting Bible study called “Who are YOU?” Do other people define who you are or does God make you who you are? You are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptised into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ … If you belong to Christ, then you are … heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:26,27,29

A brief history of our Guild was read out. There was also a display of old photos, minute books and other memorabilia to look at.

Imogen, Alani, Harry, Tessa and Bonnie from Good Shepherd College Primary Campus entertained us with beautiful music on the piano, cello and violin.

We then had a time of mingling with each other. We listened to some jokes and then an offering was taken which raised $300.50 for Aboriginal missions. A delicious afternoon tea was enjoyed by all. Edna Rudolph, a past president, cut a special 80th Anniversary cake.
