Where were you in 1951? I was a little kid then, running off to the local school across the road from our church: St Paul’s. Lunch times I’d sometimes spend at my grandparents’ house. Up the back steps in time to hear my grandmother’s favourite radio serial “Blue Hills” and the smell of some freshly cooked sultana cake. But that wasn’t her only passion. She was a regular church member – a leader in her time. How fitting that she should be the very first president of our ladies guild. …

Witta Ladies, Nambour

I am a member of a little historic church at Witta, Qld, 10 kms from Maleny on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. I join with the Glasshouse Mountains Fellowship. As we could not worship during the lockdown, and our chapel is on a main road, I decided to be a witness outside of our chapel. So, on Palm Sunday, the entry was flanked with palms. Immanuel Women’s Fellowship, Buderim

Although our fellowship, as a “gathering together”, closed with the lockdown in March, our ladies kept in touch in various ways. The catch cry throughout COVID-19 was “You are not Alone”. Our members made sure each other felt they were not alone. Keeping in touch through phone calls, visiting where possible and distributing the Bible Studies titled “Women of the Bible”: Eve, Ruth, Esther, Hannah, Mary, Deborah. LWQ Brisbane North and Sunshine Coast Zone Fellowship Day

LWQ Brisbane North and Sunshine Coast Zone ladies met at the beautiful Glasshouse Mountains on a very warm spring day 6 September 2019. Calvary Glasshouse Fellowship ladies, being the hosts, chose the theme Shackled – Set Free based on John 8:32: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
