Barmera Ladies Fellowship

Our happy, caring and enthusiastic group of ladies meet on the third Tuesday afternoon of the month in our church hall, or sometimes we have home meetings. We take turns to read a devotion and host afternoon tea. We have our Bible studies which are taken from the Lutheran Women magazine. Bethlehem – Adelaide – Ladies Guild

Bethlehem Women’s Guild, Adelaide, has enjoyed many blessings with Bible studies being led by Pastors Pearce and Pfeiffer, and in 2019 Vicar Peter Noble. Bible Studies are usually taken from Lutheran Women magazine. We are in our 127th year. We had a big celebration in October 2018 for 125th birthday and invited other guilds to share this milestone with us. Our Meryl receives Australia Day honours

Meryl Packer, along with her husband Rex, both long-time members of Immanuel Woden Valley congregation in the ACT, were each awarded an OAM in the 2020 Australia Day Honours for service to the Lutheran Church of Australia. Their service notably includes over 40 years’ commitment to the Warrambui Retreat and Conference Centre, from the time of its construction, in a large part by volunteers. We are a very small group, but we are happy to meet monthly and remain affiliated with LWSA-NT. After our meeting, Pastor Welke leads us in Bible study after which we enjoy lunch and a chat.
