Your Kingdom Come

My go-to prayer in life is “Your kingdom come, your will be done.” I pray the first phrase as I breathe in, and the second phrase as I breath out. In doing so, I re-centre my thoughts on God, and away from myself, giving whatever is weighing me down back into the hands of God. God’s kingdom is a much better authority in life than my little queendom. God’s will is a far better plan than what I will come up with. By praying this prayer, I am inviting God to come into my life and into a situation, for the Spirit to work through me and in the context, and that God may be glorified.

But what is God’s kingdom? … Hear how Hanna Schulz lives out these words in her work with the Kope translation team in PNG

God’s Hand in New Experiences and Challenges

The hand of God has been evident throughout my life. Born into a Christian family in the Wimmera in Victoria, I grew in faith following the example of my parents. In the recent shutdown, I have missed the regular deliveries of birthing kits, which come to the LCA Churchwide …

Feet of an Evangelist

Across the planet, some things in life don’t change. A young man marries a young lady. Dreams and future hopes shared! They have a child. He leaves her. Many young women and their parents know the heartache, the hurt and the broken dreams in this story. This is magnified when you are a young woman in a male dominated culture with little work, no welfare and one child.
