The Strathalbyn Ladies’ Fellowship Group meet the first Wednesday in the month. We have 20 happy, caring and enthusiastic members who attend on a regular basis. Our meetings start with a prayer and the devotion is taken from the Lutheran Women magazine followed by Bible Study, which we read from “Life Changing Bible Verses Every Women Should Know” written by Rebecca Lutzer.
Highlights so far this year have been a visit to Bormann’s Turf Farm; getting to know our new minister, Pastor Matthew Edgecomb, his wife Bonnie and daughter Isla. We have shared recipes, had guest speakers visit and are looking forward to visiting Urimbirra Wildlife Park in October, plus packing honey biscuits in November. We have recently prepared and packed 81 Birthing Kits for PNG and have completed 23 Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Boxes which will be collected soon. We have a very successful monthly trading table where the money raised is donated to help those in need in Strathalbyn.
