Keith Women’s Guild has six members with several more ladies who are only able to attend our evening meetings. We use the Lutheran Women for our Devotions and Bible studies. We have not missed any meetings during COVID-19. In April we had a zoom meeting. With six members, we were able to physically distance so that, once the church was opened, we had our May meeting in the church hall. During the winter months we meet in members’ homes. In June we had a combined study day with the Bordertown Fellowship. We thank Pastor Murray Smith for leading us in our studies.
In February some of our members attended the SE Zone Retreat at Robe. This was a weekend away for study, worship, and fellowship with ladies from around the region.
Honey biscuits have been baked, with forty bags packed ready for Christmas distribution in Adelaide and twenty bags that we deliver to residents in our community.
Every five weeks we have the opportunity to run the Keith Community Op Shop which has moved into larger premises since opening after lock-down. The proceeds from the shop provide excellent funding for the LWA and LWSA-NT projects that we support.
We enjoy coming together to study God’s Word and spending time in the company of other Christian women.
