St John’s Women’s Fellowship, Unley

Our Fellowship continues to meet on the 4th Wednesday of the month from February to November.

In January, our committee met and organised the program for the year. We have a membership of 21 and the attendance varies from 12 to 21. Once a year we have our meeting in a member’s home.

At our April meeting, a member’s husband spoke on the meaning of Anzac to his family, and many members also shared their stories.

In October we met at the Fullarton Lutheran Homes. In the afternoon, the year three and four students, from St John’s Campus, performed many songs that the residents were able to sing along to. Following this, our Women’s Fellowship performed a skit on Aprons and served up a delicious afternoon tea which was enjoyed by the residents.

After our AGM, we moved into the church hall for our Christmas Lunch catered for by a member of the congregation with her helpers. Including pastors, 32 members, staff and invited guests attended. A collection was taken for Gaudin Lutheran Hospital, Ka Ka Island, PNG to go towards a toilet block. Last year, our church held a Christmas Tree Festival and our fellowship entered a tree decorated with Chrismons. We use the Bible Studies from the Lutheran Women and continue to share Jesus love.
