Neales Flat Ladies Guild – 2019

We are a small group of six members who meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month. We start the meeting with the devotion from the Lutheran Women magazine. Our Bible study, also from the Lutheran Women, is led by Pastor Joshua Muller or Mrs Coral Jenke.

We have been supporting the LWA/LWSA-NT projects and Gifts of Grace. We have also baked honey biscuits for Christmas cheer.

We have a varied program from swapping recipes (bring a sample of that recipe to taste), share a favourite story, a day out (Barossa Vintage Festival), bring a photo of a pet, just to name a few of our ideas.

Members birthdays are remembered by singing their favourite hymn. We also visit patients at the Eudunda Hospital and Hostel once a month.

In April, four members and three visitors attended the Barossa Vintage Festival for a day out. We visited St Petri Lutheran Church in Nuriootpa where they had a display titled ‘Come Follow Me’ stories from the Bible – illustrated by floral decorations. We then went on to visit the Bethany Lutheran Church where visitors could ‘Step Back in Time’ by watching butter being churned, chaff being cut, and noodles being made. We then went on to the Angaston Zion Lutheran Church to visit their display titled ‘Women of the Bible’.

The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all and we were blessed with perfect weather.
