“Hearts & Hands” Ladies Fellowship, Blair Athol

“Hearts & Hands” Ladies Fellowship, Blair Athol usually meets on the second Wednesday of each month with a group of approximately 15 ladies. Our meetings start with prayer and devotion taken from either the Lutheran Women magazine or a member’s own resource.

Our year began with a meal held at a local venue, this was a great opportunity to invite friends, enjoy food (that is prepared with a night off cooking!) and fellowship.

Included in this year’s program will be Bible study evenings with either a member from our group, or a guest minister, leading us through a study from the Lutheran Women magazine. St Paul congregation is currently in the process of calling a pastor.

In March, we had two speakers, church members, from SES (State Emergency Service), gave a very interesting talk on the work that these volunteers are involved in. We will also be hosting a fundraising morning tea for the Bible Society in July. A “Picnic in the Park” will be held later in the year and movie evenings are in the planning.

Our generous offerings support LWA and LWSA-NT projects. We will, once again, embark on our major fundraiser during the winter months, pasty baking, which enables us to support ongoing ministry and a variety of projects within our congregation.

Above all, we thank and praise our heavenly Father for enabling us to continue serving him and each other.
